We were commissioned by the client to develop and implement design proposals for the loft extension and remodelling of the first floor to their semi detached 30’s house in Barnet.

One of the main criteria was to develop the potential to maximise the views over the City and West End from the loft floor, as well as creating a feeling of light and space with contemporary elements. The lead-clad dormer was fitted with full height folding glass doors leading to a roof terrace with glass balustrades. Further windows to the flank wall provided views to the East.

The use of a staircase with a glass balustrade and bookcases at the side and top allowed an office space to be created under.
